High School Foreign Teachers

Shenzhen Hankai High School of Mathematics and Science is the first high school in Guangdong Province that specializes in mathematics and science and features “research – based teaching and learning.” It is a private high school with the characteristics of “research – orientation, internationalization, and high – quality,” aiming to become the “Shenzhen Middle School” among private schools in terms of its educational standards.

Located in Fucheng Sub – district, Guanlan, Longhua District, Shenzhen, Shenzhen Hankai High School of Mathematics and Science has a total construction area of over 60,000 square meters. It is planned to have 48 administrative classes, providing 2,100 high school places. The school offers two types of curricula: the “Han Class” (the national ordinary high school curriculum system) and the “Kai Class” (the Cambridge International High School curriculum system). It officially opened in September 2021.

• Deliver high quality lessons to designated classes (max 20 per week)

• Prepare lesson plans

• Prepare and update scheme of work

• Prepare materials and e materials for classes

• Prepare and grade examinations

• Assist in preparation and marking of Cambridge Exams

• Invigilate examinations as appropriate

• Assist with both internal and external examinations

• Attend school and be available for students during working hours (8:00 to 5:30 Mon to Friday)

• Attend school functions as required, sports day, parents meeting, spring gala etc

• Assist with extra curricular activities

• Assist with the running of the ‘House system’

• Attend internal and external training as required

• Be active in professional development

• Take an active part in class observations

• Take an active role in the promotion of the school

• Be a role model for students

• Support colleagues in the running of the international department

• Work with colleagues to establish Hankai Arts Dept

• Work with colleagues to implement arts classes from grades 7-11

• Work with colleagues to develop and teach Design Programmes at IGCSE and A level

• Work with colleagues to prepare promotional materials
